Gold medal achievement for our Year 7 pupil

Emily Rees (Year 7 pupil) has recently been very successful in the Welsh National Swimming Championships held at the National Pool Swansea during the Easter holidays. To enable Emily to enter, she had to meet the National qualifying times, which she did with ease.
Emily competed in 8 races, ranging from Freestyle, Backstroke , Butterfly and I.M, in 50m, 100m 200m and 400 meter distances, and successfully gained a place in all 8 races. This in itself was a great achievement.
The finals took place at the end of each day during this 4 day event. Emily managed 4th place in 6 races and managed to secure a gold medal in her strongest race, the backstroke.

Llanelli ASC said that they were extremely proud of her and what she has achieved and was glad that the long hours of training and the continuous determination that she shows is being rewarded.
