In Memory of Howard Waters

In Memory of Howard Waters - "Santa"

It is with a real sense of sadness that we share the news of the loss of a very dear colleague. Howard passed away on Sunday morning following a brave battle over several months with a serious illness. Throughout this difficult time he maintained both the dignity and good humour that were synonymous with the way in which he carried out his duties here at the school. Called “Santa” by the pupils, his compassion and gentle
approach meant that he became a trusted friend to pupils and staff alike.

A wicked sense of humour was projected through his twinkling eyes and ensured that even on grey, wet mornings there was a sense of cheer. He was a gentleman and his courtesy extended to everyone, pupils, staff and visitors. Howard epitomised everything that Bryngwyn stands for, he was from our community, served our community and cared deeply about the people within our community. His passing has been a massive and upsetting loss to us all, but we will all take away many fond memories and treasured personal moments. The school will celebrate Howard’s life and work in the school with an appropriate memorial that reflects the life of this deeply private, modest and reserved gentleman.
