Miniature Shetland Ponies Pay A Visit to Bryngwyn!

Bryngwyn pupils were thrilled to welcome miniature ponies Robbie and Zebedee to school recently.  Lluest Horse and Pony Trust is a small registered equine welfare charity based in the Brecon Beacons, who take in horses and ponies that have been abandoned and neglected, often in extremely poor condition.

Robbie was spotted collapsed at the side of a road, too weak to stand and very close to death from starvation.  Fortunately, he was taken to Lluest, where he was given urgently needed veterinary help, food and shelter.  It was a long road to recovery but he's now happy and healthy and says 'thank you' to Lluest by going with his foster-mum Barbara to as many schools, hospitals and care homes as possible to tell his story.  He is impeccably well behaved, adores children and happily trots up corridors and into classrooms to say Hi!
