Mr Huw Lewis, Education and Skills Minister for Wales Visits Bryngwyn

On Monday 18th May the school was delighted to host a visit from the Education and Skills Minister for Wales Mr Huw Lewis. Mr Lewis was visiting the school to congratulate the school on their success in promoting the White Ribbon Campaign – highlighting awareness of and prevention of domestic abuse. The visit was organised by Mrs Joyce Watson, West Wales Regional Assembly Member, who spearheads the White Ribbon Campaign. During the visit he met with pupils who were participating in the campaign led by Ms Tonia Antoniazzi. The minister went on to meet a forum of pupils from Bryngwyn and Glan Y Môr Federation to discuss life as a minister. It was an ideal opportunity for the minister to meet with the staff, pupils and members of local community whose hard work has brought about a very successful federation and delivered success in the new school’s categorisation programme.
