Police & Crime Commissioner for Dyfed-Powys Pays A Visit to Bryngwyn!

We were pleased to welcome Mr Christopher Salmon, the first Police and Crime Commissioner for Dyfed-Powys to Bryngwyn today for an informal meeting with some of our pupils.  Mr Salmon, originally from Presteigne in mid-Wales took up his post in November 2012 and has undertaken an oath to serve the people of his force area to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective policing service.

Mr Salmon studied history and economics at Oxford University before spending five years as an Army officer and a further several years in business before being elected to his present post.  During his visit to Bryngwyn, he was taken on a tour of the school by a small party of pupils, which was followed by a question and answer session.  The visit coincided with our BBC School Report which was being filmed today by Year 9 pupils from Bryngwyn and Glan-y-Mor, so also proved an ideal opportunity for our budding journalists to brush up on their interview techniques!
