Presentation of Gifts to Salvation Army Christmas Appeal

Captain Scott Linnett from the Salvation Army paid a visit to Bryngwyn today to officially receive the gifts that have been bought from funds raised over the past few months by our pupils.  These toys will now be distributed amongst the less fortunate families within our community and we are proud, as a School, to have made a difference to so many local children's lives at Christmas.

Various fund-raising ventures have taken place, including sponsored fancy dress walks, raffles and snack and cake stalls.  Mr Barnes' Class (8-4) have again raised the highest amount (£540) with their imaginative ideas, such as 'limited edition' Bryngwyn logo cupcakes but the best is yet to come when, on the last day of term, the 'Annual Woodlice Derby'  will take place where pupils are invited to sponsor one of six woodlice, all appropriately named, who will then race over a specially modified race-track!
