Pupils Receive Well-Deserved Awards at Prize-Giving Evening

Bryngwyn's annual Prize-Giving Evening was a great success, with invited guests, including our Principal Guest Mr Barry Liles, Principal/Chief Executive Officer of Coleg Sir Gar, governors and parents applauding the achievements of our pupils.

It was an important evening for Stephen Hughes and Cerys Williams, our new Head Boy & Head Girl,  as they presented the first speeches of the night,  which they both accomplished with the utmost confidence. Their pride in Bryngwyn and appreciation for the teaching staff was obvious to see.

The Awards varied from the obvious academic achievements to Sports Personality of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to the Cultural Life of the School, Charity/Community Awards and Musical Achievements, reflecting the true diversity of opportunities we are proud to offer our pupils.

We were also very pleased to welcome back our Year 11 students from last year, most of whom have now progressed to higher education at local colleges, to receive their well-deserved graduation scrolls following this summer’s GCSE results, which was a lovely way to round off our evening of celebration.
