Pupils attend Presentation by House of commons  MP Tom Watson

A party of our Year 10 and 11 pupils travelled to Glan-y-Mor School this week to attend a presentation by Tom Watson,  the Member of Parliament (MP) for West Bromwich East since 2001.

Mr Watson was the Parliamentary Secretary for the Cabinet Office from 2008 to 2009 and in 2011,
he was appointed the first ever Deputy Chair of the Labour Party and the Labour Party's Campaign Co-ordinator.  He has been heavily involved in the Leveson Enquiry into standards in the Press.

Our pupils heard about his experiences as a politician, the need for aspiration and the importance of young people participating in the democratic process.
