Science/Modern Foreign Language Ambassador Pays A Visit to Bryngwyn!

STEM Ambassadors for MFL are keen to encourage young people to study science and languages.  Our Ambassador was Nia Roberts from the Welsh Government.  Nia lives in Conwy and is a first language Welsh speaker who studied Physics in Manchester.  She also speaks French, German and Dutch.  Her knowledge of languages has allowed her to work in a physics laboratory in Germany and also at the European Patent Office for which both a science degree and working knowledge of French and German is essential.  Year 9 pupils heard Nia speak passionately about all the fascinating places she had worked and the opportunities that were opened up to her during her studies and further into her career.
