Year 11 GCSE Geography Field Trips

Two groups of Year 11 Geography students will be visiting the River Morlais in Llangennech on Wednesday 19th and Friday 21st September.

Pupils will be taking readings from three different sites on the river to test the width, depth, velocity of the river flow and why changes take place from one site to another.  They will also be studying the size and shape of rocks and gradients of the valley sides and riverbed.

The visits will take place within the school day and pupils have been asked to wear suitable old clothes, as they will obviously get wed and muddy.

A report and photo gallery will follow shortly in the Geography Department of the website.
