Bryngwyn Pupils Enter the Young Reporters for the Environment Competition

Bryngwyn pupils were challenged to write a report on ‘How the Methods of Transport that we use actually Impact on Climate Change at a Local as well as a Global Level’ for the Young Reporters for the Environment Competition. The 3 top entries, Cieran Grove, Holly Davidson and Ethan Bignell, were entered into the competition.

Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) is a network of international youth engaged in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). It is coordinated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and currently operates in more than 25 countries.

The goal of YRE is for participants, aged 11-21, to investigate environmental issues and problems and report on them through written, photographic or video journalism, while investigating solutions.

YRE develops participants' skills and knowledge. For example, as well as gaining a deeper understanding of sustainable development, the programme enhances communication and citizenship skills, individual initiative, team work, critical analysis, social responsibility and leadership.

We will update you once the winners are announced!
