Olympic Athlete, Jamie Baulch, Visits Bryngwyn

Bryngwyn pupils and our partner primary School, Swiss Valley got the chance to train with some real-life sporting superstars when Olympic athlete, Jamie Baulch, and Emily Scott, England u20's Rugby International, visited the school.
The visit with The Jamie Baulch Academy, saw the children try a series of sponsored fitness activities with the top athletes.
With different exercises tailored to pupils of all ages according to their different physical abilities, the children at Bryngwyn were able to raise sponsor money to support the RNIB in the wonderful work that they do.
The event was also about encouraging pupils to think of exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle, as well as giving them the opportunity to meet two sporting heroes.
The morning ended with Jamie speaking to the children in an assembly, showing them his Olympic medal and answering their questions.
We are delighted that Bryngwyn School and our partner Primary, Swiss Valley have become the first schools in Carmarthenshire to foster links with the Jamie Baulch Academy.
